School of Theology 2019 with Dr. Sam Waldron
We are privileged to have Dr. Sam Waldron leading SBC’s School of Theology in 2019 on the theme of The Person and Work of Christ from 8-10 July.
None of the topics normally discussed in systematic theology is more at the heart of Christianity than the doctrine of the person and work of Christ. Yet in our day ignorance and error abound all around this vital subject. At the same time, no subject is more glorious and fascinating to the Christian. Allowing the 1689 Baptist Confession to guide his instruction, Dr. Waldron will lead us in a biblical study of the glories of the Mediator as to His person, office, and work. From the incarnation of the Son of God to the preparation by the Spirit of the Mediator for His work and finally to the work itself, the Scripture exalts the Saviour. The subject is glorious, and we think you will find it a blessing and a refreshment to your soul over three full days of teaching and fellowship.
Dr. Waldron currently serves as President and Professor of Systematic Theology of Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary in Owensboro, Kentucky. He has written a number of books including A Modern Exposition of the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, A Man as Priest in his Home and The end times made simple. Sam completed his M.Div. from Trinity Ministerial Academy, a Th.M. from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
